A question about : The hours I am working are not adding up

Hello. I have been working at a call centre (please don't let it put you of reading this ) for 2 months now.

Basically, how it goes is we log onto the dialler and it keeps track of the time we have been logged in. The only time we do not get paid for is when we are 'In Wrap' which is a few seconds, any time we are logged out (dinners, breaks, etc)

Hello,

Last year Boots stopped paying double pay to its staff on sundays.Claiming bonuses coming into force etc would be more benficial .But it hasnt.In my case I have lost a quarter of my pay every month.

We have just stumbled across this last week that has found the move by Boots to reduce pay unlawful.

A question about : SMP, redundancy and tax

Hello,

I tried contacting the HMRC first but they are really unhelpful. You call their helpline and they can't access your details so they won't help you and they refuse to answer emailed requests through their sites saying ring their helpline - aargh.

Anyway, I will be made redundant on 31 December but I am probably going on Maternity Leave on 1 November. I have been told that I will receive 39 weeks of SMP in my final 'paypacket' (along with my miniscule redundancy). I have also been told that thi money will be taxed.

Anyone know anything about employment law, could you help me with a few questions

Firstly my Girlfiend who works as a support worker in supported living housing has been on a retainer shift(on call) today which operates in a 24 hour period from 9am one morning to 9am the next

She has just been called at 22.15 to do a night shift where she is required to stay awake and lasts from when she gets to work about 22.30 till 8am
