Welsh Meet

A question about : Welsh Meet

Ok guys,we know that a fair few of us want to meet up but not decided upon location :confused:

I drive so I dont mind where TBH ,but I know its more difficult for those of you relying on trains / lifts etc

If we vote here and then post below to say where we live and if we need a lift / can offer a lift etc

Maybe we can sort something out

Then it will only be WHEN to decide upon :rolleyes: :confused:

At this rate we might meet up by xmas

• Ok I am in Brackla,Bridgend and can offer a lift / car share and split petrol costs.
  Alternatively if anyone from here is going to travel by train I will join you, and then can have a few drinkies
• I am in Cardiff and would prefer not to drive. However, I will if I have to and can offer a lift for two in the Cardiff West area
• Im in swansea, and I cant drive!! however, If anyone wants to offer me a lift to where ever this turns out to be, im happy to go... As long as you're not dodgy or owt!!
• Im free every weekend... tis one of the joys of being split up with ds's dad!!! lmao!
• weekends i can only do evens as i slave work during the day
• as far as a venue, i would suggest 3 places
  1) prince of wales. weatherspoons, very near the station for those who dont like cardiff
  2) gate keeper. another weatherspoons (see a theme here? ). cheap food and drink again, but more spacious (and IMHO a better atmosphere than PoW). not too difficult to direct 'foreigners' too either, as you cant really miss the millennium stadium
  3) st fagans. bit further out, but might appeal if anyone was planning on bringing kiddiewinks along
  failing that, the bay is always good. terra nova etc are all quite accessable
• the other option is ikea, as a source of shopping and cheap grub
• Im in the Newport area so Cardiff would be better for me. I drive so can give whoever a lift. I operate a non smoking, hold on for your life vehicle!
• oooo i like that wetherspoons pub by the train station in cardiff! can we do this before april though, as im boycotting all pubs after that due to the smoking ban!! lol

• Vik, do you mean the Prince of Wales in St Mary Street? If so, it's pretty grotty in there!
• I'd love to come along to a Cardiff meet and in all honesty I'm up for anywhere (well within reason that is!)
• Depending on how I'm feeling (how brave I am I mean) I might be up for this so will keep an eye on the thread. I'm in Bristol but can drive or get the train. Would be willing to take someone over if they are fairly local to me.
