SELLING SECOND PROPERTY TAX IMPLICATIONS

A question about : SELLING SECOND PROPERTY TAX IMPLICATIONS

I am about to sell a property which is off plan and completes in two months. I own another property that is rented out and live in a rented home myself. Are their CGT implications in selling this off plan property?

Can I really remortgage at v.low cost

A question about : Can I really remortgage at v.low cost

    ???

I am currently with HSBC and have a 48k interest only mortgage (20 years left) and a 12k equity release loan (10 years left). however, the ERL alone is costing me Ј50 a month in interest.

i was hoping to re-mortgage but wanted to do so at low cost, i.e. all survey and solicitor fees paid. I dont mind paying a couple of hundred Ј's arrangement fee if the deal is good.

    Fixed or Discount Rates

A question about : Fixed or Discount Rates

    Hi All,

I'm a First Time Buyer. With the current sitution of the Market, the only way I can get my foot on the ladder is the joinly purchase a Flat with my brother.

The max. purchase price is 180K. I know he has a mortage on his property (approx 7 year left on borrowing 60K), so I won't be condisered as a FTB. The deposit is 20K.

I've had a couple of quotes from LloydsTSB, Nationwide and Northern Rock (all repayment mortages). I'm undecide :-/ which one to take.

    Property devaluation

A question about : Property devaluation

Our house has backed onto fields for the last 9 years. It is now a building site and we feel these new houses have reduced the value of ours. An estate agent has now told us that we can claim against the builder for the difference in price - has anyone else heard of this ????
Seems rather unlikely to me. :-/

    • Highly unlikely at this point. You should have complained to the local authority at the point when the planning application was put in.

Think You Were Missold Your Endowment Complain Now!!!! [CLOSED]

A question about : Think You Were Missold Your Endowment Complain Now!!!! [CLOSED]

This thread has now closed. Please use this new thread to continue the discussion.

If your endowment was missold (meaning not just that it will underperform, but you weren’t told it may underperform or were incorrectly advised) then the time is running out to make a complaint and get compensation.
