A question about : Estate agent mess up
Hi,
I am hoping that one of you clever people out there can help me.
I was recently living in a flat that I rented through a letting agent. The conditions were dreadful and the customer service I recieved was dreadful. They did not fulfill their obligations although they disagree, obviously.
Anyway, I had to move out when I was infested with mice.
But since then they have deposited my full despoit into my bank account... twice. They wrote to me a month ago asking me to transfer the second refund back to them but didn't tell me their bank details. So I put it aside and forgot about it.
I haven't heard from them since and I still have the money. What should I do? It's so tempting to keep the money. Can they actually make me give it back to them? Could I offer to pay in installments?
Help?!

- Um, yes, they could 'make' you give it back. Hey, i agree, it's tempting, but seriously not worth it. Why dont you give them a call and speak to someone?
