I've decided to start this thread to help me save some pennies on my grocery shopping.

I half halfheartedly did this month's grocery challenge. I didn't set a budget and just decided to see how much I spent.

I've done the maths and with a week left, spends amount to Ј593.05

This clearly explains why I have no money. We have a household budget that me and the OH contribute to and I am always out of pocket. Clearly I am subsidizing our crazy food spends.

Everyone has those days where you've cheated on your diet, broken a full jar of nutella and forgotten the one thing you went to the shop for, but have somehow managed to bring home a bagful of things you don't even need.

This thread is for trying to put down one good thing a day, whether in a book or in this thread so that when you feel like nothing went right there will always be something.

Welcome to the September Challenge. The drill is still the same: find as much roadkill as you can between May 1st and 31st.

As HOK3Y said when she launched the first challenge in October 2013, the only stipulation is that it must be found outside of your home and/or car - it has to be money that genuinely wasn't yours or your family's before you found it! So if you find it down the side of the sofa, it doesn't count!

I got into debt many years and with the support of Payplan, brought that debt down. Recently, I got help from friends and relatives to pay-off these debts, which have been sold by my original creditors (presumably at a big discount). Have managed to pay-off all except those held by an organisation called Idem/Paragon who won't accept my offers and refuse to discuss what would be acceptable. These loans were originally with MBNA, who would have negotiated. Thus, these companies that buy debt seem to be worse than the Pay-Day loan companies.

A question about : The "How Many Days Can You Go Without Spending" Challenge.

So I saw a challenge on Frugal 2014 and decided my challenge would be to not spend anything this month.

This gave me an excellent idea for a challenge which you will save 1000s in doing. It will be tough but we are all here to support each other. Plus it'll be worth it in the long run.

So the challenge is to see how many days you can go without spending anything. Of course there are some things you can buy but you can't buy things you would class as luxuries.
