Via Buy is it legitimate or Scam?

A question about : Via Buy is it legitimate or Scam?

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I saw an interesting ad the other day on FB about this Via Buy credit card (top-up). I tried to check if it is related in any way to Mastercard but I could find any info about trust.
Seems interesting but I don't know if it is a scam or not.
Anyone tried it or heard anything on that?

Default Drop Off

A question about : Default Drop Off

I am hoping there is someone here who can settle a slight argument / debate on a default notice.

My partner has 3 of them. 2 from 2010 and 1 from 2011, all within the middle of the year, so i suppose you could say the oldest is 4.5 years old and 2 which are 3.5 years old. Values are low and settled (satisfied all within a couple of months of default). 1x 545 pounds, 1 x 120 pounds and 1 x 376 pounds.

Full and Final Settlement negotiations

A question about : Full and Final Settlement negotiations

Hi All,

I currently have 6 defaults and a CCJ on my credit report.(all unpaid)

The CCJ drops off in 2017
The defaults drops off between 2017-2020

I am planning on getting these paid, not waiting for them to drop off.

I am currently negotiating with DCA's (Lowell and 1st Credit)in order to get a full and final settlement. Currently both companies are offering a 20% discount on debts of Ј953, Ј250, Ј770 and Ј350

Asking DCA for Credit Agreement

A question about : Asking DCA for Credit Agreement

I have a debt of Ј1243 with Santander this has been sold to a DCA, I have received letters saying to pay within 10 days or it will be referred to their solicitors.

About three weeks ago I sent a letter (foolishly without getting a proof of postage) asking for a copy of the credit agreement but so far they have only sent further threats to refer my debt to their solicitors.

Does anybody have a link to a template of a letter that I can send in order for them to release this information.

High Credit Score + Default Account = Mistake???

A question about : High Credit Score + Default Account = Mistake???

After signing up to Experian and entering my data, I'm left with a funny result. I have (what I believe is) the highest credit rating - 999.

This makes sense - I've been well behaved for the last 5 years - but I also have an account that was marked as Default back in late 2010.

How can I have a credit score of 999 with a defaulted account on record? I'm looking to apply for a mortgage at the moment and I'm concerned that I might be rejected because of the default, even with such a good score.

Does a debt collection agency HAVE TO default you

A question about : Does a debt collection agency HAVE TO default you

I wanted to know what the guidelines are around debt collection agencies (DCA) defaulting arrears credit cards.

I have a number of credit card debts after a long period out of work, I have written to and negotiated reduced payments to the DCA's all have agreed to this.

Within a few months all (with one exception) defaulted my account which shows on the credit report as a D and will eventually come off the report after several years.

Arrangement to Pay

A question about : Arrangement to Pay

Hi,
Quick credit file Q!

My husband had issues years ago (10 years +) and set up a series of repayment arrangements with various creditors.

A couple of his debts show on his credit file as red and have AP listed. Now they are settled and from a long time ago.

Will these stay on his file for good or will they drop off? Im assuming having AP's on will affect his credit worthyness?

We are trying to arrange a remortgage and want to ensure we are in a good position before we try.
