• I received via e-mail a cancelled contract deal sometime early in September (can't remember the exact date) where I made a Euro purchase. This was due to be transferrred electronically on the 15th of October. The details of the cancelled contract were as follows:
  Date of Contract: 6th Sept 2010
  Amount: 15000 Euros (Ј11987.53)
  Exchange Rate: 1.2513

  The above was advertised as a September Special Offer. I ordered on 1 September after receiving the email on the same date.
  Small amount compared to some people I know, but now its a matter of principles.

• Hi all,
  Frst of all, my heart felt sympathy goes out to all those unfortunates that have been victims, frankly, of fraud. I have used CCE on many occassions in the past and very nearly made another order at the end of September.
  I know this is after the horse has bolted, but the flurry of emails that CCE bombarded me with in the run up to their demise got me a little worried. The headline rates and 'special' cancelled contract offers seemed to be far above and beyond the rest of the market. That raised an eyebrow and the fact that I was simply placing Ј1000's into their own account made me re-think - 6th sense perhaps!? I had reservations when making deposits in the past, I don't know, this time it was just different.
  As it turns out, the fact that their accounts were not segregated meant I would have been lining the pockets of greedy directors who must have known what fate held for the company?
  If it helps anyone with their investigation, I still have the dozen or so emails sent to me by CCE in the week or 2 before they went belly up - scant consolation I know.
