  • Hi
I would like to try 4DX but it's impossible to book!
I've tried booking online and it just comes back with an error.
I called and was advised there was a problem with 4DX but he didn't make it clear if he meant there was just a problem with the new booking system or an actual problem with the 4DX screen?
Plus the phone call charged me 50p a minute ontop of network price and he left me hold for 9 minutes!!!
so still no tickets! Not happy
If I ever do get to book I'll let you know what it's like! lol
  • In my experience with the cinema industry (used to work within it), It would most properly be 100% that the problem is with the cinema equipment in that screen.
I see that the screen as only just opened in January and I would assume they have not yet got the bugs out off the system.
Seen too many screens open that needed a bit more work done before being open to the paying customers.
  • I think the problem must have been with the website not the actual screen/showing.
I have just tried to book for Weds at 6pm and it let me go all the way to the payment screen....dont want to see Kingsman: The secret service am holding out for The Fast &Furious 7 which will be shown in 4DX beginning of April
  • So my sister tried calling today and you can book on the phone but they charge you an extra 50p per person!
Even though their online booking system seems to have problems they are not willing to honour the online price!
So the 4DX screen is fine and if you go to the cinema in person and risk it being sold out or if you are willing to pay the extra fee for booking on the phone then you can go.
I however am gonna hold off until they have their online booking available again..when ever that will be!
Wouldn't it be a lot easier for them to post the technical fault on the booking system so people know not to bother trying!
Not great customer service at all :-(
  • No cinema chain would ever admit to a technical fault on their websites.
    It's bad for business.
To be honest any tech fault can be fixed fast if the chain has access to the part and are willing to get engineers on site asap.(very few cinemas have projectionists on site now days)
Unfortunately these days costs matter more than customers.
As for the 50p surcharge all cinema chains do it.
At least you are not paying theater surcharges in the tens of pounds and the charge to print your own tickets which the London Sharftsbury Avenue shows do.
